Om Abdallah house is located on a big island inhabited by Nubian people who are famous for their hospitability and kindness.
The house is located in the center of the island; surrounded by Nubian houses where charming nature, serenity and safety is.
There are always boats transferring you through the Nile into the island where the house is located
Om Abdallah was designed following the Nubian house style. There are 6 rooms; every room has two beds, a wardrobe, a small table and mobile air conditioner. Each room comes with a bathroom.
• 50 $ for a single bed in a double room
• 90$ for a double bedroom with breakfast
With all of the above; there is a rooftop overlooking the Nile which guests can use to enjoy the view.
On behalf of my grandmother "om abdallah"
I made the title of my guest house in elephant island in aswan.
My grandmother was famous for that name, om. Abdallah because abdallah was the oldest son.
Om abdallah owned the house since 1912,although she was blind she insisted on educating her sons(5 sons). Actually they were highly educated, they were the first in aswan who joined university and then they occupied superior jobs in the Egyptian state.
For all these reasons i determined to name the house "om abdallah house" on behalf of her name to appreciate her role in raising her sons and to commorate her memory
Abdallah Hamed,the eldest son for Om Abdallah with king Farok, the king of Egypt and Sudan in Aswan 1942.Both Farok's sisters prince's Fairyal and Fawzya are in the photo too.
